Fred J. Connors, 71, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, September 19th in the Meadows of Leicester. He leaves three sons, Fred J. Connors, Jr. and Scott M. Connors, both of Worcester, and Tim Barrows of Auburn; three sisters, Patricia C. Sloan of Worcester, Laura Lomax and Mary Ellen Lomax, both of Charlton; two brothers, Dennis Connors of Brimfield and Donald Connors of Ware; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two daughters, Lisa and Tracy Connors, a grandson, Michael Connors and his soulmate Cathy Barrows.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Fred and Marguerite (Dupuis) Connors and was a welder and mechanic at J. O'Malley Welding Company. He was a jack-of-all-trades, but a master of none. He enjoyed hunting, kayaking, and helping others. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends at Acorn Acres; Sandy, Patti, Sheila, Don, Kevin, Helen Talbot, and his dog Crackers.
His family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff at The Meadows, especially Dr. Dunn, Ed, and Meghan from Ascend Hospice Care and nurse Carlee D.
