Obituary

Julianne E. O'Day, 29, of Worcester, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 29th in her mother's home. She is survived by her mother, Marianne (May) O'Day; her sister, Grace E. O'Day both of Worcester; a brother Patrick S. O'Day of Belmont; her maternal grandmother Helen (Lynch) May of Worcester and aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Stephen W. O'Day. She was predeceased be her paternal grandparents, John F. O'Day, Sr. and Eileen (O'Connor) O'Day and her maternal grandfather, Joseph C. May, Sr. Julianne attended St. Stephen's School, graduated from the Worcester Public School system and had pursued other studies upon graduation from high school. She was currently attending Rob Roy Academy. She was a volunteer at the Rape Crisis Center and had been employed with other human services providers in the Worcester area. Julianne was an avid softball player and loved swimming. She was a bibliophile and a voracious reader from the age of 3 and had a beautiful, brilliant mind. To know her was to love her.
Her funeral is Friday, September 4th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephens Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, September 3rd from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Rape Crisis Center, 588 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608 or Conquer Chiari Research Center, 264 Wolf Ledges Parkway, Akron, OH 44325.
