Patricia Ann Todd Eason, 75, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Crossview Baptist Church in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Her brother, Rufus Todd, will give the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Eason was born October 15, 1939, in Wayne County, Georgia, to the late Edward & Stella Dennison Todd. She was a graduate of Screven High School and attended college while studying to be a lab technician. She was retired from Wal-Mart. Mrs. Eason loved doing word search puzzles, shopping and talking on the phone with her sisters, and spending time with her grandchildren and her grand dog, “Roy Tucker”. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church and enjoyed her friends in the Seekers Sunday school class.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Dee Eason of Albany, Randy & Amy Eason of Palm City, Florida, Lee & John Frost of Arabi, and Shelly Zee & Eddie Tucker of Fitzgerald and her adopted daughter, Julie McGovern of Albany; her grandchildren: Taylor Eason, Kira Eason, Jack Frost, Michael Frost, Sara Frost, and Lane Deese; and siblings and their spouses: Vonnie & Elvin Anderson of Fitzgerald; Rufus & Lucy Todd of Waycross, James Carrol Todd of Bristol, and Eureta Thornton of Waycross. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LTC S.L. Eason; two brothers: Bennie Todd and Donnie Todd; and two sisters: Truddie King and Novadean Murray.
