Obituary

N. GROSVENORDALE, CT – Keith F. Simons, 68, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at home surrounded by his family after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth M. (Kondek) Simons, a son, Jeffrey and his wife Raluca Simons of Beresford, S. Dakota; a daughter, Erica and her husband Matthew Smith of Paxton, MA; a grandson, Samuel Simons Smith; a brother, Craig Simons of CT.
He was born and raised in Goshen, CT, a son of Harold “Hogan” & Olive “Dolly” (Jenney) Simons. He graduated from Wamogo High School in 1965. He received his Bachelor of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He lived in Worcester and Dudley, MA and moved to N. Grosvenordale, CT in 1986.
Mr. Simons worked his entire career as a mechanical engineer. He enjoyed gardening.
He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
The funeral service will be held Monday, August 31, at 11:00 AM in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, MA. Burial with Military Honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veteran’s Council will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster, MA. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 AM Monday, August 31, in the funeral home. Memorials in his name may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of North Eastern CT, 320 Pomfret St., Putnam, CT 06260.
