LEICESTER: Sharon H. (LaMonda) Putnam 57, of Brookside Dr., died Tuesday, August 18 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a long and courageous battle with Lupus and Pulmonary Hypertension.
She leaves her husband of 29 years, David W. Putnam, her son Jarrod D. Putnam of Leicester, her brother James LaMonda and his wife Gloria of Leicester, three sisters Lois LaTour and her husband Malcolm of Charlton, Debra Pratt and her husband Garry of No.Oxford and Donna LaMonda of Leicester, several nephews and nieces.She also leaves her four legged companion "Harley" who was her best friend.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Francis and Dorothy (Sivret) LaMonda and later graduated from Leicester High School.
Sharon worked as a waitress at several area restaurants, including Eddy's Pub in Worcester for many years.
She will be most remembered for her strength and personality and being a great Mom, wife and friend.
Her family would like to thank all of the many doctors, nurses and friends who looked after her for so many years.
Memorial calling hours be held on Friday, Aug. 21 from 5 to 7 pm.in the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. A wake service will conclude the calling hours at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Lupus Foundation, 270 Farmington Ave., Farmington, CT. 06032.
