Louise M. Collins, 88, a resident of Taunton, MA until 2007 most recently residing at Eliot Healthcare Center, Natick, MA. past away on July 13, 2015 at MWMC, Leonard Morse Hospital Natick, MA. She was the daughter of the late Nelson W. Collins & Mary Evelyn (Carrier). She was the sister of the late E. Shirley Baptista, Gloria Collins, Betty Ahrens & Robert Collins. She is also predeceased by her life partner, Phyllis McClellan. “Auntie Lou Lou” as she was known to all past in the loving presence of her family. She is survived by nieces Deborah (Baptista) Moore, her husband John & great nephew John of Holliston, MA.& Karen Baptista and daughter Lauren Baptista of Dover, MA. She is survived by many other nieces, nephews & cousins.
She worked at Thompson Box Company in Taunton as the Production Manager. At Eliot she was president of the Resident Council and ran a store to raise funds for the Activities Dept. taking residents out to dine at local restaurants. Louise loved nature & the outdoors. The Cape was her favorite place on earth especially when she vacationed at Swifts Beach, Wareham & Truro. An outdoor Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Fatima Shrine, Holliston, MA on Aug. 21, 2015 at 11 AM. Following the mass butterflies will be released in her memory at the Aviary, Pinecrest Golf Course, 212 Prentice St., Holliston, MA. A collation will follow at the Pinecrest Golf Course. Family & friends are welcome. Burial services will be private.
