Obituary

WEBSTER – Eugene P. “Sam” Langlois, Jr., 57, died Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard after being stricken ill at home. His wife of 30 years, Jean F. “Jeannie” (LaBelle) Langlois, died in 2008.
He leaves a daughter, Shana L. Langlois of Oxford; a son, Chance R. LaBelle and his wife Stefanie of Charlton; a grandson, Andreas Langlois; 2 brothers, Roland Lowe of Mesa, AZ and Phillip Langlois of Woodstock, GA; 4 sisters, Susan Muise of Dudley, Lynne Dougherty of Webster, Jamie Learned of Rumford, Maine and Debra Walkowiak of Thompson, CT; nephews and nieces. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of his first granddaughter next month. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Crimp of Plattsburg, NY in 2009 and by a sister, Brenda Langlois of Webster in 2010.
He was born and raised in Webster, son of the late Eugene P. Langlois, Sr. and June P. (Lowe) Langlois. He attended Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton and was later awarded his GED. He lived in Manchaug, Oxford and Dudley before moving back to Webster.
Mr. Langlois was a roofer first at McKay Roofing and currently at Applied Roofing. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing and collecting antiques. His favorite activity was spending quality time with his grandson Andreas.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 19, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Wednesday in the funeral home prior to the service.
