SPENCER: Joanne M. (Hurteau) Simonovitch,77, of Westland Dr., died Monday, at Quaboag Rehablilitation & Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Richard J. Simonovitch, a son Richard "Rick" V. Simonovitch and his wife Mary, three daughters; Audrey A. Vaudreuil and her husband Francis "Pete", Alison M. Chalifoux and Alana A. Brown and her husband Thomas all of Spencer, two brothers; Paul Hurteau of Schenectady, N.Y. and Anthony Hurteau of Spencer, seven grandchildren; Lynn, Scott, Matthew, Christine, Karly, Kiley and Alec, and ten great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Throughout her entire life, Joanne valued her family first.
Joanne was a dispatcher for the Spencer Police Dept. for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Anthony and Rachel (Perron) Hurteau. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish.
Funeral services for Joanne will be held on Thursday, August 13 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours from 8:30 to 10 a.m. will precede the service on Thursday. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer.
