Russell, Robert R., of Millis, formerly of West Roxbury and Brighton, August 6, 2015 at age 91. Survived by his loving wife, Helen J. (Walsh) of Millis. Beloved father of Suzanne Lortie and her husband, Gary, of Millis and Carolyn Russell of Millis and grandfather of Brendan and Shannon Lortie of Millis. Beloved son of the late Richard and Mary Russell. Beloved brother of Edward T. Russell of Galveston, TX and pre-deceased by Richard, John C., James, William F. (Red), Thomas J., Mary G., Francis X. Russell. Beloved brother-in-law of Alice Hiatt, Ann Russell and Juliet Russell. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was raised in Brighton, served in World War II in the Army Medical Corp, and was awarded the Soldier’s Medal. He worked for the New England Telephone Company and retired in 1986. After retirement, he worked at Boston College at sporting events for 10 years. He loved family, children, animals; enjoyed telling stories, good jokes, great music, card games with family and friends. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, Saturday, Aug. 15th at 9am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10:30am. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment private.
