WEST BOYLSTON-Sharon A. (Hinson) Colbert, 67, of West Boylston, formerly a longtime resident of Worcester, died Thursday, August 7, 2015.
She leaves her husband John T. Colbert; a son, Phillip L. Ciccone and his wife Kara of Texas; four brothers, Steven Hinson and his wife Heidi of Worcester, Kurt Hinson of Falmouth, William Hinson and his wife Sandy of Worcester and Michael Hinson of Attleboro; two sisters, Dawn Redmond and her husband Timothy of Worcester and Gail Dugan of Arizona; a sister-in-law Janice Hinson and many nephews and nieces. Sharon was predeceased by two brothers, Randy and Linwood “Bo” Hinson.
She was born in Washington, DC, the daughter of Linwood A. and Mamie (Hawes) Hinson, moved to Worcester at age 8 and graduated from North High School. Sharon worked as a CNA and Therapy Aide at Shrewsbury Nursing Home for 30 years, retiring in 2009. She loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas and cruises, play cards and draw.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 12 at CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday, August 11 from 5-7 pm in the funeral home.
