Obituary

EAST BROOKFIELD: Irene A. (Dufault) Derrick born on April 30, 1916 in Brockton, MA passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on August 6, 2015.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul E. Derrick and her son, James F. Derrick. She leaves two daughters, Barbara Schnare of Shrewsbury, Diane Derrick of Hinesburg, VT, and her daughter in law, Mary Ellen Derrick of Oakham. Five grandchildren, Amy Abelli of Boylston, Paul Derrick of Oakham, JoAnne Caruso of Leominster, Debra Schnare of Worcester, Cathleen Schnare of Pembroke, NH and one great grandchild, Kyle Derrick of Oakham.
She was retired from the East Brookfield Post Office, past secretary and treasurer of the Lashaway Seniors Club, member of the Council on Aging and was an election worker for 15 years for the town of East Brookfield.
The family extends a special thank you to the following people who were close friends and caregivers to both Irene and the family.

A Celebration Mass of Irene’s life will held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Church in East Brookfield at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church, 121 Blaine Avenue, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
