Obituary

WORCESTER, MA: Wallie N. Williams, Jr., 63, a former police officer, died on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home.
He leaves two sons, Shawn Williams and Todd W. Williams; his mother, Vermell (Edwards) Williams Waller; a sister, Patricia Lopez; six brothers, Delroy Williams, Clifford Williams, Kenny Williams, George R. Waller, Jr., Eric Waller and Gary Waller; a nephew, Anthony Williams; a niece, Patricia Lopez; a great nephew, Marcus Williams; and many cousins and other family. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Wallie N. Williams, Sr. His stepfather, George R. Waller, Sr. also predeceased him.
Wallie graduated from South High School in Worcester and is a former Police Officer with the Springfield Police Department. He had also worked as an outreach counselor for the Henry Lee Willis Community Center in Worcester and assisted with the creation of AIDS Project Worcester. He loved music and was an avid Patriots fan.
After cremation, a MEMORIAL FUNERAL MASS with Wallie’s ashes will be held at 4 P.M. on MONDAY, AUG. 10 at ST. JOHN’S CHURCH, 40 Temple St. in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St., is assisting the family.
