WORCESTER: Judith M. (Johnston) LaMonda, 62, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, surrounded by her family and close friends. She leaves her three children, Jeffrey M. LaMonda, Justin D. LaMonda and his wife Emily, Jacqueline E. Wayman and her husband William, all of Worcester; four brothers, William F. Johnston, Brian E. Johnston and his wife Nancy of West Boylston, Charles A. Johnston and his wife Eileen of Cherry Valley; Kevin J. Johnston and his wife Debra of Oxford; three grandchildren, Deziree and Giavanna LaMonda, and Brynn Wayman, all of Worcester; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion Everett “Joe” Cheroff. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late William F. and Rita M. (Sullivan) Johnston. She graduated from Burncoat High School and attended Salter Secretarial School.
Judi enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, the ability to laugh at herself, and her big heart and willingness to help anyone, anywhere and any time she could. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
