Alice P. (Stec) Kostigen, age 94, of Norton, formerly of Dedham passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Golden Living Center-Garden Place in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo J. Kostigen who died on August 24, 1997.
Born in Newmarket, New Hampshire on December 29, 1920, she was a loving daughter of the late Frank H. and Pauline M. (Kusnierz) Stec.
Alice grew up and was educated in Newmarket, New Hampshire, where she helped with the daily chores of running her family’s farm.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Mrs. Kostigen was a resident of Norton for past 34 years and previously lived in Dedham for 33 years.
When younger and after raising her family, Alice had worked at the former Kings Department Store in Dedham and for Rust Craft which is also located in Dedham.
Mrs. Kostigen was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Dedham. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing, and she especially enjoyed spending time in the presence of her loving family.
She is survived by her devoted son Henry L. Kostigen of Norton and her dear brother Stanley Stec of Rochester, New Hampshire.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her graveside funeral service, to be held on Saturday, August 1st at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Common Cemetery, West Main St. (Route 123) in Norton.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Alice with a donation in her memory made to the charity of ones choice,
