Olive Borden Sebastian of Manhattan, New York, died at the age of 85 years on the date of July 24, 2015 at 5:00pm at 12 Elizabeth George Drive, Mashantucket CT. (official time recorded of her passing was 4:57pm at Backus Hospital Emergency Room.) She was born on March 31, 1930 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of James and Olive (Deer) Borden.
She graduated with a GED. She married Clifford Cyrus Sebastian at the age of sixteen. Her occupations included waitress at Woolworth in New York, design consultant at Ethan Allen, and legal secretary at the Health and Hospital Corporation in New York City.
Olive is survived by three sons; Anthony, Carley, and Clifford III, as well as three siblings: Thomas Borden, Vivian Wilkinson and Joseph Borden. Her grandchildren are Monique Sebastian, Sequoia Sebastian, Augustus Sebastian, Ottowa Sebastian and Clifford Sebastian IV. Her great grandchildren are Tyler Sebastian and Shane Sebastian-Smalls. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her children Eric Sebastian and Augustus Sebastian, as well as siblings Harold Borden, Augustus Borden, Carley Borden and Samuel Borden.
Olive's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, July 31, from 9 to 11am at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. A Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
