Eileen Teresa Herbst, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Herbst was born August 1, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Charles and Grace Ravenor Day. She was a 1951 graduate of Hershey High School and retired from Hershey Medical Center, where she worked in central transport. She moved to the community in 2001. She loved to travel, taking cruises and was a diamond club cruise member. Mrs. Herbst had taken 19 cruises in 13 years. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years: James M. Herbst of Fitzgerald; a son: Pastor Stephen Loffreda & Millicent of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a daughter: Cathy Loffreda of Lemoyne, Pennsylvania and a son: Michael Loffreda & Naomi of Palmyra, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren: Jeremy, T. J., Jake, Andrew, Desiree, Michael, Jr., and Anthony; three great-grandchildren: Aidan, Cameron and Grabriella and a sister: Patricia D. Kehler & Victor of Reston, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Terry Loffreda; one grandson: Kyle Quigley; a brother: Buddy Day and a sister: Mary Grace Robenseifner.
