Marguerite L. “Peggy” Luparelli, 79, of Worcester died peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital on Thursday, July 23d after a short illness. She leaves her husband of 57 years, Dr. Augustus “Gus” Luparelli; three daughters, Jean and her husband Michael Stone, Julie and her husband Russell Kinell and Ann and her husband Rafael Ortiz all of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Nicole Luparelli and her husband Lee Duerdin, Jason and his wife Kristin Hintlian, Kim, Anjuli, Joseph, Carolyn, Kelli and two great grandchildren, Olivia and Nicholas who gave her so much joy. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie J. Tolman and her brother, Henry I. Millette.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Marie and Henry I. Millette. Peg was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce and Becker College. She worked for several years at Norton Company where she was the secretary to the vice president of sales. She returned to work after her girls were in school and worked for many years for the Worcester Public Schools in the Special Education Department, retiring in 1999.
Peg’s family was the center of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whether it was summers in Wells, Maine or Saturday morning breakfasts. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish
Calling hours are Monday, July 27th in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street from 3:00 until 5:45 PM. Her funeral Mass will follow at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
