Mr. Waymond Bow Duke, Sr.
Evans – Mr. Waymond Bow Duke Sr., beloved husband of over 68 years of Dorothy Smith Duke, entered into rest on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at University Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with his son, the Rev. Waymond B. Duke, Jr. officiating.
Mr. Duke was a loving, devoted husband to his wife. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by his sons; Walter M. Duke (Linda), Waymond B. Duke, Jr. (Karen) and Bobby G. Duke, his daughters; Linda Getgood (Jim) and Cathy Sue Battersby (John), three brothers; Daryl Ray Duke, Austin Duke and Billy Donald Duke, as well as eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Armstrong.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, July 18, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
