PRICE, Menna, of the Sophia Snow House in West Roxbury died on Monday, June 29th, 2015, a few days before her 86th birthday on July 5th. Menna was born in Pontlliw, South Wales to her loving parents Jane Owens and Edward Thomas. Menna started work in the Post Office in Swansea, Wales and was later detached to the colonial government of Southern Rhodesia for 5 years. She immigrated to the US in the mid-1960s and worked as a computer keypunch operator in California and New York City, and later as a restaurant cashier in the Stardust Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. Menna moved to Boston to be close to her family in 2005.
She is survived by her former husband Ivor, her son Roydon and his wife Christine, their children Emma, Kylie and Evan. Beloved sister of the late Elizabeth and Morgan Thomas and family of Seattle, WA, and Lyndon Thomas and family of Hamilton Ontario, Canada. Beloved Aunt to Rowena and Brenda of Swansea, Wales. Menna loved spending time with her grandchildren, and visiting the sea. She will be missed terribly for her tremendous wisdom, humor and loving heart. Memorial will take place at the Stratford Street United Church on Saturday July 18, 2015 at 10:30am.
