Diana E. Macy, 76, of Uxbridge, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at UMass Medical Center after a brief illness.
Diana grew up in Rochester and Fairhaven MA, was the daughter of the late Walter Laycock and Barbara (Gifford) Laycock Lamy. She graduated from Fairhaven High School and went on to graduate from Newton- Wellesley Hospital Nursing program with an RN. Diana was an employee of Digital Equipment Corporation as a nurse and then as a Human Resource Manager. She was a longtime resident of Hudson MA before moving to Northborough MA. A talented artist, she was a member of the Northborough Art Guild.
Diana will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all. She is survived by her son, Dale L. Macy and his wife Cynthia of West Boylston; her daughters Tammy-Lynn Macy and Alicia B. Macy of Uxbridge , and Kristin L. Gargas and her husband Tony of Maynard. Diana is also survived by her brothers James Lamy, of Fairhaven MA and Roger Lamy and his wife Barbara of Mattapoisett MA; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church of Rochester on August 15, 2015. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston MA.
