Charles Kenneth "Keny" Goodwin, 72, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 in Oxford, MS. He was born in Water Valley, MS and later moved to Holly Springs where he attended high school and made many lifelong friends. Keny played football at Northwest Community College, and graduated Ole Miss, later receiving a Master's Degree in Education. Later he served as Superintendent of the Water Valley School District many years before retiring from a passionate career in education.

His summers were spent working numerous jobs including Park Ranger at Sardis Lake and area convenience stores and bait shops, always meeting new people and making great friends. Later, his summers included little league games with his grandchildren, as he loved all sports including high school games and Ole Miss sports. He was an avid fisherman with plenty of tales to go with his favorite leisure activity. He was a former member of Rotary Club, Mississippi Association of School Superintendents, and he was a member of Water Valley Church of Christ, where he served many years as treasurer. Keny was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
