Susan Mochi, 54

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Susan (Gentile) Mochi, age 54, of Mansfield, passed away, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of David S. Mochi.
Born in Boston, MA on May 31, 1961, she was a loving daughter of Rose (Rabinovitz) Gentile of Reading and the late Domenico A. Gentile. She grew up in Reading and was a1979 graduate of Reading High School.
A resident of Mansfield for the past 25 years, she had previously resided in Attleboro. She was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and had formerly worked in Customer Service at the Robbins Company in Attleboro.
Sue loved the water and spent summers boating in the waters of Narragansett Bay and Cape Cod and the Islands, and winter vacations in Florida touring Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico. She loved the tranquility of her cottage at Bruce Beach in Ontario, Canada and had no greater love than sitting on any beach with a good book, or floating on a raft.
Sue spent much of her adult life volunteering and helping others. She was active in Jaycees and served as the President of the Attleboro Jaycees Chapter. Sue was a Cub Scout den leader in Mansfield and Attleboro, seeing all of her sons through Cub Scouts and then onto Boy Scouts.
Sue was an avid bowler and bowled in a league every Wednesday night at North Bowl in North Attleboro. She was an avid television watcher and watched or taped almost every prime time show there is.
Most of all Sue enjoyed time with her family and friends. She established the monthly dine out club and had visited hundreds of restaurants in Massachusetts and Rhode Island over the past ten years with her best friends, and enjoyed card night with “the girls” every other Tuesday. Sue was also an avid New England Patriots fan and was especially proud to be a season ticket holder.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her devoted sons Jason Stanton and his wife Debbie of Attleboro, Christopher Stanton of Punta Gorda, Florida and Benjamin Mochi of Mansfield. She was the cherished grandmother of Brody Stanton and Cole Stanton. She was the dear sister of Nancy Gentile of Tewksbury, Richard Gentile of Hudson, NH, the late Robert Gentile, and is also survived by her beloved nieces Brianne, Taylor, Krisandra, Dominique and Olivia.
Her memorial service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, July 16th at 6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Sue’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 5 Manley St., West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
