Charlton/Worcester- Jeanne D. (Desrosiers) Messier, 91, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Overlook Masonic Healthcare Center.
She leaves behind her two sons Joseph R. Messier and his wife Lori of Charlton and Louis P. Messier of Worcester, 3 grandchildren, Joseph, Jr., Michael and Marc, four brothers: Roland Desrosiers of CA, Joseph Desrosiers of New Brunswick, Canada, Denis Desrosiers of South Grafton, and Daniel Desrosiers of Dudley, one sister, Yvonne Mitchell of Millbury, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Roland A. Messier and longtime companion Alfred Manganello of Worcester, four brothers: Gerard Desrosiers of South Grafton, Georges Desrosiers of Sutton and Paul Desrosiers of Millbury, and Bernard Desrosiers of Charlton; and a sister, Giberte Chenette of Grafton.
Jeanne was born in Fisherville Village of South Grafton a daughter of the late Leopold M. and Laura (DeGrandpre) Desrosiers. Jeanne graduated from St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1944 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St. Joseph’s College in 1987. She worked as a Registered Nurse at many area hospitals and as a private duty nurse. Jeanne loved to travel to new destinations as well as go on family cruises.
Services will be private.
