Worcester – Elsa R. (Klaucke) Lucey, 82, of Worcester, died in her home on Sunday, July 5th after a courageous 4 month battle with cancer.
Mrs. Lucey was married for 38 years to the late Walter H. Lucey who died in 2003. She is survived by her one and only Son in Law Richard Lemovitz who she loved above all, two daughters, Cynthia Lemovitz of Worcester and Wendy Smith of Pawtucket, RI; two sons, Steven Smith of Kennesaw, GA and Alan Lucey of Norfolk, VA; a sister, Doris Johnson of Illinois; 11 grandchildren (Erin, Andrew, Kori, and Samantha Lemovitz, Alex, Taylor, April, Amanda and Stephanie Smith, and Carmela and Aleshia Lucey, 4 Great Grandchildren (Daron Chhon, Janyce Pickett, Andrew Jr. and Shawn Lemovitz), and 2 nieces Judy and Karen.
Elsa was born in Upton, MA daughter of the late George and Anna (Jorgenson) Klaucke and worked for many years with the City of Worcester School Department (South High) and the phone company. Mrs. Lucey enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime like dancing, however, she very much enjoyed taking weekly trips sometime daily trips to Twin River, Foxwoods, and Mohegan Sun.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 8th at 12:30PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 7th from 6 to 8PM in the funeral home.
