Thousand Oaks, CA - David J. Sauvageau, 54, of Thousand Oaks, CA formerly of West Brookfield, MA, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 1, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He leaves his wife of 21 years, Jenee D. (Jackson) Sauvageau; two sons, Tyler David Sauvageau, 19, and Cross Jackson Sauvageau, 16, of Thousand Oaks, CA, formerly of Methuen, MA. He also leaves three sisters, EileenSauvageau, Brenda Goudreau, Angela Sauvageau and his father, David Sauvageau, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Ware,MA son of the late Sylvia (LaPlante) Sauvageau.
David received his Bachelor Degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and an M.B.A. from Boston University. He was an Engineer and was Vice-President of Research and Development at Hologic, Inc. He spent most of his career with Boston Scientific in Natick, MA and also worked at Medtronics. He is named in over 500 patents involving medical engineering devices.
On Tuesday, July 7, calling Hours will be held from 5-7PM. The Memorial Service will start at 7PM at J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer. Burial will be private in Pine Grove Cemetery, West Brookfield.
