Sandra Ann Young of Plymouth, MA, formerly of Lexington, MA passed away on Saturday, May 23rd 2015. Treasured wife of William E. Young for 47 years. Devoted mother of William E. Young Jr.and his wife Debbie and Jennifer Young Ohlson and her husband Eric. She was the loving and cherished "Grammie" of four beautiful grandchildren, Tyler, Lydia, Samantha, and Amelia. Sandy graduated from Lowell State College in 1966, summa cum laude. In that same year she became senior queen and campus queen. She went on to receive her Master's degree from Lesley College. For over 30 years, she was a beloved and dedicated third grade teacher at West Elementary School in Plymouth, MA. She had an exceptional passion for learning, and she instilled that in all of her students. Her motto was always, "Every problem has a solution." She co-authored the children's book, "Penelope's Wish," with her husband, Bill. She touched the lives of so many people in all that she did everyday. She always put the needs of others before her own. She exemplified class and elegance, only exceeded by her warm, loving heart. To know her, was to love her. She is survived by her brother, Charles Kavigian and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Carol and late husband, James Yacobucci. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Stephen, Laura, Amanda, Chuckie, Alicia, and Kristin. Visiting hours will be held at Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth, MA on Thursday, May 28th from 5-8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 29th at 10:00 a.m., at St. Bonaventure Parish, 803 State Road, Plymouth, MA.
