WORCESTER: Margaret J. “Peg” (Flynn) Sherman, 95, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Worcester.
She leaves a son, Dennis A. Sherman and his wife Catherine of Millbury; a daughter, Donna P. Snarskis and her husband John of Rutland; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Angela Sherman, Dean, Adam and Lauren Deluca, Craig and Scott Sherman; nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A son, Douglas J. Sherman of Erie, PA; six brothers, John, Daniel J., Thomas P., Edward F., James V. and Cornelius J. Flynn; and two sisters, Katherine M. Smith and Elizabeth B. “Betty” Maenzo, all predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late John M. and Mary (Friel) Flynn and was a 1937 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She lived in Worcester most of her life.
Margaret was a nurse’s aide at Worcester State Hospital where she worked for 20 years, until retiring in 1983. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for her kind and loving heart.
CALLING HOURS will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 11 A.M. on THURSDAY, MAY 28 at Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
