Sherri McCarty Monk, age 48 of Thaxton, MS, died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. She was born in Virginia on January 18, 1967 to Kenneth and Barbara McCarty. Sherri was employed for many years as Manager of Kangaroo Express and enjoyed boat drag racing, crocheting, riding horses and spending time with her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Sand Hill Methodist Church on Mt. Liberty Road in Yalobusha County, MS, with Virgil Nelson, Jr. officiating. Sherri is survived by her husband, Richard Monk of Thaxton, MS; her parents, Kenneth and Barbara Monk of Warsaw, VA; her daughter, Amber Lynn Null and two sons, Devin Null and Aaron Null all of Virginia; her sister, Nancy McCarty Forhnapfel (Kevin) of Florida; her brother, Kenneth McCarty, Jr. of Virginia; five granddaughters and one grandson. | ||||
