Dinushe (Kalemaj) Spahiu, 95, passed away May 12, 2015. She was the widow of Zenel Spahiu to whom she was married for 50 years and together had 9 children. She was born on April 7, 1920 in Berat, Albania. She is survived by her two sons Barjam and Axhem (James) Spahiu of Worcester and four daughters Pema Methoxha, Fatime Cenollari, Merushe Qato, and Nazime Conga of Albania; her grandchildren Dafina, Jetnor, Enkeleda, Ilir, Enida, and Anxhela; great-grandchildren Zejnel, Enes, Jusuf, Emilia, Iliana, Rejan, Besara Spahiu, and daughters-in-law Engjellushe, Gjylo, and Edlira Spahiu. She was mother and friend to all, she was loved and respected by family and friends. She loved hosting parties and having people over for the holidays. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and but most importantly spending time with family no matter what the occasion.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Friday, May 15, 5-8pm. Burial in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester on Saturday, May 16, at 10:30AM. Flowers may be sent.
