Obituary

WEBSTER - John D. Doyle, 69, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Lifepath Hospice House, Sun City Center, Florida after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Florence C. (Hackett) Doyle; 4 children, Samantha Gatsogiannis and her husband Johnny of Dudley, Daren Doyle and his wife Gail of Palmetto, FL, Lorraine Keegan and her husband Paul of Oxford, and Nigel Doyle and his wife Tara of Dudley; 10 grandchildren, Sean, Megan Siodhain, Alex, Troy, Liam, Niall, Niamh, Mckenna and John; 4 sisters, Joan Kenny, Nancy O’Shea and Aideen Steadman and her husband Declan, all of Ireland, and Maureen Fallon and her husband John of England; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Paddy White and by a sister, Eileen Carolan.

He was born in Barndarraig County Wicklow, Ireland on April 19, 1946, a son of Aiden and Anastasia (White) Doyle. He immigrated to Webster from Ireland with his family in 1981. He enjoyed living in Florida during the winter for the past 15 years.

Mr. Doyle owned and operated Doyle Custom Construction for 25 years, retiring in 2009.

He was a member of Saint Louis Church. He also coached Webster Youth Soccer when his children were young.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Visitation will be from 8:45 to 10:15 Wednesday morning in the funeral home prior to the service.
