Janet E. Hobart, 74, of Plainfield, CT, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA. She leaves her husband of 40 years, Everett C. Flagg, of Plainfield, CT; four children, Gary Sicard of RI, Jimmy Sicard, David Sicard and Cathy Avery, all of CT; two sisters, Nancy Covert of Fitchburg, MA and Mary Christina of Noank, CT; a brother Harold Hobart of St. Petersburg, FL; six grandchildren, one great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Willimantic, CT, daughter of Harold and Edith (Topham) Hobart and graduated from Stonington High School in Stonington, CT and Salter Business College in Worcester. Janet worked as a medical assistant at Fallon Clinic for 15 years and prior to that she worked for Dr. West in Stonington, CT for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling, especially the many trips she and Everett took to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Janet’s many family members and friends who dearly loved her, will miss her infectious laugh, smile, kindness, spirit, and compassion.
Funeral services for Janet will be private. Arrangements are in the care of CALLAHAN FAY CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, MA.
