HOLDEN-Gladys E. (Forsberg) Anderson, 98, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home. Gladys was a longtime resident of Holden, but most recently she has been a resident at Christopher Heights in Worcester. Her husband of over 50 years, Bertil H. Anderson predeceased her on August 14, 1991. She was also predeceased by a sister and a brother. Gladys is survived by a nephew and nieces, and her friends and neighbors at Christopher Heights and in Holden.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Swedish immigrants, Gustaf P. and Emily F. (Wingberg) Forsberg. Gladys was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and a longtime member of both the Holden and Worcester Garden Club, and the Holden Senior Center.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances and donations may be directed to the Good Samaritan Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
