Evans – Mrs. Joanne Boyd Riley, 80, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Crawford Avenue Baptist Church, 507 Crawford Avenue, Augusta, Georgia. The Reverend Brian LaFavor will officiate.
Mrs. Riley is survived by her daughter; Lisa Ann Schwarz (Gary), her sons; Richard H. Riley IV (Cheryl Wong) and Shawn Riley; her sisters; Maranne Pennington and Charlene Cox (Edward), her former husband; Richard H. Riley III, her brother in law; Rev. Robert W. Riley, her sister in law; Rebecca Thomas, as well as eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Otis and Jeanetta Boyd, and her father and mother in law; Willard and Mozelle Tolley.
Mrs. Riley was a native of Augusta and a life-long member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a long term employee of the Augusta Country Club and a lover of the arts, especially music. Mrs. Riley sang beautifully for many years as a member of both the Crawford Avenue Baptist Church choir and with the Sweet Adelines of Augusta. She enjoyed all of her friends and associates in bringing beautiful music to her church and the Augusta community. She will always be remembered by her family and her many friends with the greatest of love.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, April 30, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
