Mrs. Doris Annette Woodward, 87 beloved wife of Dock Woodward went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 23, 2015 with her loving husband of 68 years by her side.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 26, 2015 , at 2:00pm at Platt’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Barry Clanton, officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Woodward loved to travel and spend time square dancing. The joy of her life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We are all blessed to be a part of her family. She was always there to make us laugh, comfort us, correct us, but most of all to love and guide us. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her legacy will be everlasting.
Other than her husband, Dock , Mrs Woodward is survived by her daughter, Linda Woodward Wilson (Steve Mooney); her son, Dock Garland Woodward, Jr., (Emily), daughter, Terri Woodward Hamrick (Jim) and daughter, Pam Woodward Curnutt (Jim). She is also survived by a sister Joan Coman (James), 8 Grandchildren, Dennis, Kevin, Dena, Leigh, Libby, Leslie, Maggie and Mandy, as well as 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by our special angel, Audrey Robinson and her four legged baby “Precious”. The family would also like to give a special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice
The Woodward family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 25, 2015 between the hours of 6pm until 8pm.
