LYDON, James P. Age 89, April 21, 2015, of West Roxbury, formerly of Brighton, born in Carraroe, County Galway, Ireland. Beloved husband of 64 years to Mary (Fenton) Lydon. Devoted father of James Lydon and his wife Georgiann of Burlington, the late Michael Lydon and his wife Deirdre of West Roxbury, John Lydon and his wife Helena of Natick, Maureen Clampet and her husband William of White Plains, N.Y., Joseph Lydon and his wife Karen of Uxbridge, Nancy Sullivan and her husband Michael of Natick, Charles Lydon and his wife Patricia of Brighton, Margaret Lydon of West Roxbury, Kevin Lydon and his wife Cordelia of Wayland, Eileen Spall and her husband Michael of Falmouth, Catherine Troy of Canton and Anthony Troy of Millis, Sheila Gonzalez and her husband Eugenio of West Roxbury, Patricia Soule and her husband Peter of Walpole, Teresa Lewis and her husband Joseph of Walpole. Grandfather of thirty-two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Brother of Barbara O’Connor of Oakland California and the late Michael, Coleman, Bartley, John, and Bridget Lydon and Mary Del Santo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Monday, April 27 at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. He was an army veteran of the Korean War and a life member of Carpenter’s Union Local 40. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or Seasons Hospice.
