Wood, Muriel H. (Hubbert) 83 of Plymouth and formerly of Scituate, passed away at Life Care Center of Plymouth on April 13. Beloved wife of Oliver G. Wood of Plymouth. Mother of Peter S. Wood of Plymouth, Stacey A. Wood and her husband Mark Widrig of CA, Kimberly W. Ryttel and her husband Peter of Plymouth and Blair O. Wood of MT. She also leaves 8 grandchildren.
Muriel was born in Boston, the daughter of William and Cecile (O’Connell) Hubbert. She graduated from Newton High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Colby Sawyer College. Muriel worked in the Law Office of Mary Hurley Bruno in Marshfield as a legal secretary. She was an avid reader who also loved cooking, gardening and travelling.
Visiting Hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte. 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Saturday April 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a prayer service at 4:00. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St Jude’s Hospital for Children
