Born and raised in South Boston where he was stationed as the night Lieutenant when he retired. World War II Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Catherine P. Ryan who passed away 6 months ago. Devoted father of Cathleen Walker of Chicago, Joan Hines and her husband Brian of Dedham and the late Paul Ryan. Loving grandfather of Caroline Walker and Ian, Kevin and Mary Hines. Brother of the late Mary, Anna, Ralph, and Russell. Funeral Service will be held at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Friday, April 3rd at 11am. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association Families of Officers Killed while serving to protect.
