Nanchione E. “Nan” (Veitch) Joshi, age 77, of Norton, formerly of Malden and Medford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Golden Living Center-Garden Place in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Ganesh D. Joshi.
Born in Malden, MA on June 27, 1937, she was a loving daughter of the late William and Irene A. (Keddy) Veitch. She grew up in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School.
Nan had previously worked at the former New England Telephone Co., for the Norcross Construction Co. in Boston and also for Federal Express.
She had made her home in Norton for 9 years and was a member of the Mansfield Lodge of Elks.
Nan’s favorite times spent revolved around her cherished family. She loved hosting celebrations; especially Christmas, and her other interests included traveling and trips to Foxwoods.
She is survived by her devoted children Kimberly E. Dale of Mansfield and Steven W. O’Brien and his wife Elizabeth of Belchertown. She was the adoring grandmother of Rebecca Dale and Kirsten Dale both of Mansfield and Alyssa O’Brien and Aidan O’Brien both of Belchertown. She was the dear sister of Owen W. Veitch and his wife Lorraine of Northborough, formerly of Winchester, and the loving aunt of Ricky Veitch, Kristen Veitch and Gregory Veitch. She was the former wife of Richard F. O’Brien of Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, March 31st from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
A reception will be held following visitation at a place to be announced during the funeral home visiting hours.
Burial will be private and those wishing may remember Nan with a donation in her memory made to the charity of ones choice.
