Obituary

Marc Philippe Turgeon, 72, of Plymouth MA passed away on March 10, 2015 at home. Marc was born in Montreal, Canada on August 3, 1943 to the late Pierre Jules Turgeon and the late Lois (Huggett) Turgeon. He was the beloved husband of Gabrielle (Soriane) Turgeon, devoted father of his daughter Guiomar "Gigi" Turgeon and two sons James H. East and the late William R.East and beloved brother of the late Juillette Turgeon. Marc also leaves behind his sister Helene Davis and her husband Robert W. Davis and niece, Sharon Flemming.
Marc was a highly educated man who earned multiple degrees from various universities across the country. He worked for the US. Government in EPA for fifteen years while earning a doctorate in law at George Mason University (VA.). As a member of the United States Chess Federation, Marc shared his skill and mastery by teaching the techniques of chess to children of all ages. He was a cherished instructor at Hill Crest Academy, Storybook Cove and the Plymouth Senior Center as well as an active participant with the Quincy College Chess Club.
Services will be held at Christ Church in Plymouth, MA on Tuesday March 17th at 10 AM and internment will be at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
