Linda Perkins Hair
Grovetown—Linda Perkins Hair also known as “Tat”, 65, beloved wife of Gene Hair, entered into rest Thursday, March 12, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 2:00pm at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Eddie Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Linda was active at Lewis Memorial UMC where she taught Sunday school for 46 years and formerly served as choir director. She worked for the Columbia County Board of Education as a teacher for 28 years, teaching at Westmont and Brookwood Schools. Linda influenced many lives with her positive outlook and kind heart. She loved her Lord and Savior, children, reading, and spending time at the beach with her family and grandkids.
Other than her husband, Gene, Linda is survived by her son, Jon Hair (Whitney), two daughters; Janet Bruyninckx (Joey) and Gena Taylor (Wesley), her parents; George and Joyce Perkins, a brother; George Perkins, Jr. and a sister; Lee Christian. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Hannah, Tanner, Trent, Hunter, Anslee, Tucker, Ayden, and Owen.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Rodwell, Reno Reasoner, Randy Hardwick, Larry Atkins, Keith Williamson and Curtis Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, March 15, 2015, from the hours of 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
