Westborough-Stanley F. Carroll, 104, of Maynard Street passed away Wednesday, March 11 in the Kindred Nursing Center.
His wife, Beulah G. (Zepp) Carroll died in 1996. He leaves his son, William F. Carroll of Lenox; his daughter, Lelia H. Carroll of Crystal, ME; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was born in Merrimack, NH son of Frank B. and Hattie M. (Copp) Carroll and graduated from McGaw Normal Institute and attended Worcester Junior College.
Stanley worked as a superintendent in the meter department for 46 years at Mass Electric Company, retiring in 1975. In his retirement he did consulting engineer work for EUA Service Corporation,gardening at his home, and volunteering at the Council on Aging. Stan was known for his dry sense of humor and his keen intellegence.
Visiting Hours are Monday, March 16 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Callahan Fay and Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 18 at Noon in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
