WORCESTER/NEW YORK

Mary K. Larbi, 72, passed away Friday, February 6th. She leaves her daughter, Vivian Okyere of Worcester; three sons, Emmanuel Kwame Larbi, Addo Yaw Okyere and Kingsley Appiah Larbi both of New York; her sister, Rosina Danso of Ghana; three grandchildren, Nadia Frempong, Junnie Jones and Cyril Appiah Larbi and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was born in Abiriw-Akuapem, Ghana the daughter of Jonas Opare Larbi and Elizabeth Aboagyewaa. She worked as a nurse in Ghana and as an instrument technician at New York Hospital for Joint Diseases. Mary was affectionately known to her friends as “Auntie Ama”. Auntie Ama loved to cook for her family and friends and make them happy. She was one of the founding members of the Women Fellowship in Manhattan Presbyterian Church of Ghana, in New York City.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 8:00 am at CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. followed by burial at Notre Dame Cemetery. Final Traditional Rite: First Assembly of God, 30 Tyler Prentice Rd, Worcester, MA 01605 from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
