In Taunton, February 24, 2015 Marguerite “Peggy” M. Valliere, age 88, passed away at the Longmeadow Nursing Home following a brief illness. Peggy was the loving wife of the late Dorius “Joe” Valliere. She was born in Pawtucket, RI, the daughter of the late Vincent and Anita (LaRose) Salesses. Peggy resided in Rhode Island for most of her life, spending 30 years at her home in East Grennwich. She was a graduate of Hope High School in Providence, RI, class of 1945. Peggy enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, music, singing, and listening to the radio. She was a big dog lover. Peggy was the sister of the late Jane Jacques of North Kingston, RI and her brother, the late Richard Salesses of Deming, New Mexico. Peggy leaves behind three nieces and two nephews, Catherine Goudreau of Seekonk, Elizabeth Brennan of Cranston, RI, Donna Marques of Taunton, Mark Salesses of Fairfax, VA, and Scott Salesses of Quincy. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, March 3rd at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 385 Central Ave., Seekonk, MA 02771 at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7 pm. Interment will be at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI at 1 pm. Donations in Peggy’s memory may be made to the Seekonk Animal Shelter, 100 Peck St., Seekonk, MA 02771
