BROOKFIELD-Shirley A. (Stuart) LaPrade, 76, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware.
She leaves a son, Dennis J. LaPrade and his wife Amy of Worcester; two grandsons, Brendan and Nathan; her longtime partner, Robert Barnes of Brookfield; a brother Richard W. Stuart of Cherry Valley; a sister, Pat R. Walsh of Leicester; several nephews and nieces including Christine Skorb of Cherry Valley and Karen Flynn in Ohio. Shirley was predeceased by her brother William L. Stuart.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of William L. and Ruth (LaRose) Stuart. Shirley was a proud seamstress for 47 years and worked most of her career as a stitcher at Worcester Knitting. She enjoyed camping trips at Cape Cod, playing Bingo and dancing, especially square dancing.
Funeral services for Shirley will be private. Arrangements are in the care of CALLAHAN~FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
