Esther F. (Whitcomb) Knowles, age 101, a lifelong resident of Norton passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton.
Born in Attleboro Falls, MA on April 8, 1913, she was a loving daughter of the late Charles H. and Mabel E. (Miller) Whitcomb, and was a graduate of Norton High School.
In addition to being a dedicated homemaker to her family, Mrs. Knowles had worked in the jewelry industry in the Attleboro area. She retired as a file clerk at the former L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro; where she had been employed for many years.
She loved spending times engaged in family activities and had formerly enjoyed rug hooking.
She is survived by her devoted children; Judith Deslaurier of Dighton, Patricia Fernandes of Norton and Raymond Knowles of Plainville. She was predeceased her 7 siblings and is also survived by 8 grandchildren as well as many great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private. Visiting hours have been omitted.
