Obituary

BRADENTON, FL / WORCESTER, MA: Michael J. “Cisco” Mahan, 62, formerly of Worcester, died on January 20, 2015 at McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich, MA after a long illness.
He leaves two daughters, Shauna Gonsalves and her husband Paul of Marstons Mills, MA, Megan Mahan and her fiancé Mike Copenhaver of Dennis, MA; a brother, Daniel C. Mahan of CT; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Brothers, William Mahan of Worcester, Rev. Edward F. Mahan of the Diocese of Worcester, and a sister, Mary C. McGinnis of Shrewsbury, all predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late William J. and Mary J. (Donahue) Mahan and graduated from St. John’s High School, Worcester State College and Framingham State College. He lived on Cape Cod for several years before moving to Florida more than 20 years ago.
Mike held a Master’s Degree in Psychology and worked in the Manatee County District Courts as a Program/Case Manager until taking ill. He previously worked construction while living in Massachusetts. He was a former member of The Huns Motorcycle Club Worcester Chapter. He passionately lived making memories with family and friends, enjoyed the outdoors riding his Harley, hunting, and fishing.
