Marguerite T. (Courtney) Soutra, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning February 11th, 2015 with her loving family by her side.
Marguerite was a devout Catholic and her faith sustained her throughout her life. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was faithful, kind, loving, accepting and funny. She was a talented artist and enjoyed singing in the choir for years. She will be missed by all.
Her husband of 64 years, Walter A. Soutra died in 2014. She leaves four children, Mark A. Soutra of Dunedin, FL, Walter R. Soutra and his wife Dorothy of Auburn, Paula E. and her husband, Gary Iannotti of Lantana, FL and Christine M. and her husband, Kenneth Bjorklund of Oxford; five siblings, Jane Royer, Eleanor Toker, Paula Bouthiller, James Courtney and Eugene Courtney; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Edward Soutra and William Soutra ; a daughter, Anne Sawicki; two brothers, Richard Courtney and Edward Courtney and a sister, Louise O'Keefe predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Richard T. and Marguerite L. (Dubois) Courtney.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 21 at 11:00 AM in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
