Obituary

In Raynham, of Dighton February 9, 2015 Julia M. (Perry) Deslauriers wife of the late Leo Deslauriers died at Life Care Center at the age of 94. Born in Bucksport, Maine, Julia was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Modeste) Perry. Julia was retired from Raytheon Company and before that she worked for the Mount Hope Finishing Co both in Dighton. Julia was the first woman to were slacks to work at Mount Hope Finishing Co. She was a member of the former St Peter’s Church and the woman’s guild in Dighton she also enjoyed painting and flowers. She was the mother of Maurie A. Neronha of Maine and Helene L. Travis of Dighton. Grandmother of Donna Anuszczyk and her husband Scott of Dighton, Diane Murphy and her husband Michael of Orlando, Michael Neronha and his wife Sharon of Maine, Christopher Neronha and his wife Lynne of Somerset, Joseph Neronha and his wife Maria of Fall River and Edward Neronha and his wife Jodi of Tiverton, RI. Great Grandmother of sixteen and seven great great grandchildren. Sister of the late Helen Perry and her late husband Edward McMullen. Mother in-law of Joseph Travis of Dighton. Lifelong friend of Kathleen Menard of FL. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Saturday, February 14th at 8 AM. A Mass will be held at St Nicholas of Myra Church in Dighton at 9 AM. Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Julia’s memory may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
