Daniel Lee Gilliard, 68, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Gilliard was born August 20, 1946, in Alma, Georgia, to the late George and Bertrie L. Herrington Gilliard. He lived in the community for over 22 years. Mr. Gilliard was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his granddaughter: Chelsia Rodgers of Fitzgerald; stepchildren: Cathy & Bill McDaniel of Fitzgerald, Bob & Angela Nasworthy of Fitzgerald, Betty Jean & Tommy Collier of Abbeville, Alicia & James Gray of Fitzgerald and Rose Marie Burke of Fitzgerald; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Jean Gilliard.
