Steven R. Grant, age 52, of Mansfield, formerly of Randolph passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Mazurek) Grant; whom he was wed for over 21 years.
Born in Boston, MA on December 4, 1961, he was a loving son of the late Russell R. and Frances L. (Sullivan) Grant. He grew up in Randolph and was a 1980 graduate of Randolph High School.
Steve had made his home in Mansfield for over 20 years and for the past several years, had worked for Stop and Shop as a Peapod home grocery delivery driver.
Steve loved spending time with his family and entertaining those around him with his remarkable sense of humor. His interests included listening to music; the Beatles being his favorite group, playing the guitar, and being an avid New England sports fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters; Taylor F. Grant and Hayley P. Grant both of Mansfield. He was the brother of Diane L. Hedrick and her husband Bob of Stoughton and the late Russell S. Grant. He was the son-in-law of Patricia A. (Gallagher) Mazurek and the late William A. Mazurek, Sr. He was the brother-in-law of William A. Mazurek, Jr. of Berkley and Susanne O’Connor and Diane M. Murphy both of Randolph. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield.
Burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
